At age 21, Normand Couture, a Montreal freshly graduated designer, opened his first retail store, the first of seven in Eastern Canada offering modern imported furniture from all over the world. The Domicil company became public and operated for 18 years.

Normand travelled a lot as a buyer and got strongly influenced by international trends, an invaluable asset for a product designer.

In 1995, Normand launched Sofas International where he developed the patented sofa concept Caméléon, winning numerous awards, among them, Canada’s highest distinction for 4 years in a row.

In 2007, COUTURE International, distributing Normand’s exclusive designs was launched.

COUTURE Jardin was launched in 2010, in partnership with his son, Philippe, bringing unique outdoor furniture to the market.

In partnership with Palliser, PINNACLE Seating Studio began in 2014 as an exclusive producer of high end upholstery design by Couture.

2015 sees the opening of a COUTURE Jardin showroom and warehouse in Florida.

Normand Couture designs have been sold in over 50 countries.

Altogether over 50 awards have been received for products design, retail achievements and various implications in the design and furniture world, including 7 Pinnacle Awards, 8 Medalions and Grand Medalions, Excellent Design Award, etc.

SERGE FERRARI

Serge Ferrari textile is a combination of sheathed and high-tenacity synthetic yarn. It has a soft touch that is durable and all-weather proof with a 5 year warranty. For regular cleaning use a soft brush or sponge with Serge Ferrari Cleaner 500 or a neutral PH detergent. After cleaning, rinse abundantly with clear water before storage. It is recommended to store your furniture under covers in winter or when not in use for long periods of time.

AXVISION

Axvision offers a 100% blended polyester fabric, that is water and stain repellent, in normal use, and weather proof with a 3 years warranty. Regular cleaning using a soft brush or sponge with a neutral PH detergent is recommended. After cleaning, rinse abundantly with clear water before storage. It is recommended to store your furniture under covers in winter or when not in use for long periods of time.

SUNBRELLA

This is a 100% solution-dyed fabric, that is water and stain repellent, weather proof and with a 5 year warranty. Sunbrella fabrics are incredibly easy to clean. So you can be confident your furniture will look stylish season after season. Regular cleaning using a soft brush or sponge with a neutral PH detergent is recommended. After cleaning, rinse abundantly with clear water before storage. It is recommended to store your furniture under covers in winter or when not in use for long periods of time.

ROPE

Our rope is a combination of a woven solution-dyed olefin or acrylic. This water and weather proof material withstands changing weather conditions. It’s UV-resistant and dries quickly after getting wet, which makes it ideal for outdoor use. It’s easy to maintain and can be cleaned with ordinary household cleaners. It is recommended to store your furniture under covers in winter or when not in use for long periods of time.

QUICK-DRY SYSTEM

Our quick-dry system allows for a collection of comfortable furniture with the feel and look, moving indoor-design furniture to outdoor use. With weather resistant vinyl fabric, which is normally used for cruise ship, yacht boat and marine products, 3-5 years warranty, and quick-dry foam inside, you can put the furniture indoor and outdoor, water and moisture is easy to escape. All furniture can be cleaned easily with water and ordinary household cleaners. We recommend the furniture to be stored under covers in winter or when not in use for longer periods of time.

MAX ROPE

Our MAX rope is a combination of woven PVC or acrylic covering over a core of rubber. This weather proof material withstands changing conditions, it UV-resistant and dries quickly after getting wet, which makes it ideal for outdoor use. It is easy to maintain and can be cleaned with ordinary household cleaners. It is recommended to store your furniture under covers in winter or when not in use for long periods of time.

HPL

High pressure laminate, HPL, is perfectly suited for outdoor use. It is resin-impregnated and compressed under very high pressure creating a strong trop with a scratch-resistant surface. These table tops basically require no maintenance and can remain outdoor all year round. Compact laminate will naturally fade slightly at the edges over time. In order to maintain the deep black colour, the edges can be freshened up by rubbing linseed oil on them. It is recommended to store you furniture under covers in winter or when not in use for long periods of time.

ALUMINIUM POWDER COATED

All our aluminum furniture is powder coated. Our superior TIGER powder coating ensures a surface resistant to normal knocks and scratches. The furniture is well-suited to be left outside all year long and is easy to clean.

GLASS

All glass tops are made from tempered glass. The bottom of the frosted glass top is covered with a coloured foil. Please take care to not scratch the foil as it can be damaged.

Warranty

EXTRUDED ALUMINUM FRAMES – FIVE YEARS

If the extruded aluminum frame fails structurally, we will at company option, repair or replace the part, in the original color and style if available, or in a similar color and style if the original has been discontinued.

FURNITURE COVERS, FABRIC ON CUSHIONS, SLING AND UMBRELLAS, GERMAN HPL - FIVE YEARS

If the fabric on a cushion, sling or umbrella tears, mildews, or fades excessively within five year of the date of purchase, we will repair or replace the fabric in the original color and pattern if available, or in a similar color and pattern if the original has been discontinued. Mildew, dirt, pollen and other organic matter can be prevented from forming by a simple routine cleaning.

WOVEN RESIN FURNITURE AND WOOD FRAMES - FIVE YEARS

If the woven resin weave unravels or fades excessively within five years from the date of purchase, we will at company option, replace or repair the product in the original color and style, if available, or in a similar color and style if the original has been discontinued. Components such as chair feet are subject to wear and tear and are not considered part of the frame.

COMPONENT PARTS - TWO YEARS

If a component part (glide, cushion insert, bolt, wheel, etc.) fails due to manufacturing defect within two years from the date of purchase, we will at company option, repair or replace the part, in the original color and style if available, or in a similar color and style if the original has been discontinued.

SHIPPING

If required, COUTURE Jardin Company will pay for shipping of damaged or replacement products within the North American Continent for a period of three years from the date of purchase. If the product is covered under a warranty for a period of less than three years (fabrics, slings, etc.), we will pay for shipping of the damaged or replacement product during the warranty period only.

LIMITED WARRANTY

This warranty is a limited warranty. Regular care and maintenance is required to maintain the warranty. Warranty applies to the original purchaser only. Proof of purchase is required. Photographs may be required in certain instances. Warranty coverage begins on the date of purchase. In some cases, there will be a pro-rated charge for the time the product was in use. This is a residential warranty and does not apply to commercial use.

EXCLUSIONS

Failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use, fire, freight damage, acts of nature (such as, but not limited to, freezing or high winds), normal fading, scratching, or chipping of the finish, weathering or staining or discoloration of furniture, accidental damage repair or modifications by consumer, glass breakage, normal wear and tear are excluded from the warranty. Defects that develop due to extreme climate conditions are not covered by this warranty. This warranty does not apply to floor samples or “seconds.” .

WINTER STORAGE

During the winter, all furniture should be stored indoors in an upright position to allow for proper water drainage. Storing furniture upside-down may cause water to accumulate and freeze inside the frame, causing serious structural damage that is not covered by warranty.

RETURN OF FURNITURE

If it becomes necessary to return furniture, the original purchaser must provide proof of purchase when making a claim. Photographs may be required in certain instances. Prior written authorization from COUTURE Jardin is required to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number. This RA number must be attached to each piece of furniture returned to COUTURE Jardin. Note: COUTURE Jardin may discontinue any component part such as fabric, paint, etc. at any time.
